CANDLES & ART WITH A PURPOSE
Candles for Conservation was launched in 2023 as a joint effort between Peyton Grace Candle (www.peytongrace.com) and Insight Art (www.insiginsight.co.za) for the purpose of promoting South African wildlife conservation. As regular visitors to South Africa, the founders of Peyton Grace have come to love the beautiful country. They, however, have also come to understand how vulnerable its beauty is due to mismanagement, habitat destruction, and other challenges South Africa's natural heritage currently face.

In collaboration with local South African artist, Anet Dreyer Kruger of Insight Art, Peyton Grace Candle Company created Candles for Conservation, where 100% all natural soy candles are paired with unique South African wildlife art created by Anet.

Anet’s love for photography & art started in school, but stayed a hobby until she could afford her own DSLR camera to take reference photos for her paintings.
Her passion for wildlife is evident in her work and she regularly visits Pilanesburg National Park, a mere 30km from her home on a farm close to Rustenburg, South Africa.

She uses the name Insig (the Afrikaans word for Insight) as an alias for her projects. “With my art I want to give everyone a glimpse inside the subjects. I want to invite you not just to look, but to really see the living, breathing creature in its individuality. Not just another animal, but a force of nature created with a unique body, personality, and soul. I want to give insight. I usually draw or paint the eyes of a subject last, with a lot of attention to detail, as the eyes are the windows to the soul.”
